Re: Plus and Minus Having Different Kerning
Also similarly why do /L/quoteright and /L/quotedblright have different kerning, despite using the same models?

Plus and Minus Having Different Kerning
I have /one/plus model set to 0, but /one/minus kerning is -14? How do I make this consistent

Re: Number - Currency pairs not kerned
Regardless of what is correct according to principals, people will use it both ways. I personally have seen euro used before and after numbers, I have even seen it used between numerals as a decimal such as 5€30 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Language_and_the_euro#Summary I'll send the file to you Ti...

Re: Different spacing but same kerning?
Because the spacing difference is small enough that the kerning I use is applicable to both. I think I solve this by spacing them the same before Kern On applies the kerning then changing the spacing after.

Re: Kern a group with other groups but not with each other?
Thank you for the response. What's the quickest way to add them as independent pairs with value=0 – is there a programmatic way?

Why isn't uppercase letter - superior automatically kerned?
I noticed these are not kerned (while superior - uppercase letter is kerned) for zerosuperior, how do I make sure they are automatically kerned?
Similarly, superior - lowercase is not kerned (for all superior numerals) but lowercase - superior is kerned.

Kern On setting groups inconsistently for brackets
I started Kern On from a new file and noticed this from the overview: /parenleft/braceleft/parenleft.case/braceleft.case/bracketleft.case has: left=standard kerning; right=special spacing /parenright/braceright/parenright.case/braceright.case has: left=special spacing; right=standard kerning But the...

Re: Remove all Kern On Data
I found this thread, https://kern-on.com/forum3/viewtopic.php?t=8363 but when I delete all kerning pairs in the kerning window when Kern On is off, and start Kern On again, the models are still there. I have also run Mekkablue's Remove All User data script. I had to close the file and open it again ...

Kern a group with other groups but not with each other?
I want my small numerals to be kerned with other glyphs for example letters – superiors, but I don't need the superiors to be kerned with each other. Is this possible?

Number - Currency pairs not kerned
I noticed number-currency pairs are not kerned. Is there anyway to enable this? Obviously this isn't the standard way to use the currency symbols but a lot of people do use it this way.

Different spacing but same kerning?
I space my hyphens looser than the dashes but I tend to keep them in the same kerning groups and don't need to use exceptions. Kern On by default also puts them in different kerning groups and will generate two sets of kerning for each group, is it possible to keep them in the same group without let...

Re: Copy KernOn data from one file to another
I have 2 files v1, and v2. v1 has had the Kern On models set and the kerning generated. v2 has not had Kern On run on it. v2 has more masters, a larger character set and perhaps some minor updates to the characters from the v1 character set but nothing that should change kerning. The workflow is a r...

Unnecessary Kerning Exceptions
I'm getting a lot of unncessary kerning exceptions, for example, for /V/A all the A*diacritic glyphs are getting their own kerning exceptions e.g, /V/Aacute and so on have their own kerning exceptions with only a few units difference from /V/A. It seems like Kern On takes into account the space beyo...

Incompatible Model Relationships
I'm not sure how to best word this question but sometimes I find that a kerning model takes relationships that I don't think work so well and I would like to decouple them without having the manually set all the rest of the related kerning. For example: When I set the model for /period/endash then /...

Re: Do we need kerning against the space character?
I do negative kerning against the space for *pair* groups such as: /period/space /quote/space /guillemet*/space /hyphen/space /question/space Including any related glyphs and reverse for the symmetrical glyphs. Sometimes I also do it for superior numerals. I also do it for any letters that have open...
