Kern On kerning only in one master in exported VF

I am watching kern on add kerning to each of six masters and see the kerning afterwards in the source file ( so far so good ) but it is going missing from all but on master in the exported VF in fontmake fontc and natively in Glyphs3 too. No problems ( seem to ) exist in the OT features because no problems are reported on exporting in any of these processes and Glyphs 3 also does not flag an OT error. What else could I look for?

Sorry, this is difficult to say. Once Kern On has finished its work all mechanisms on export are the ones provided by Glyphs. If you can see kerning in all masters in the Glyphs file, and something is missing on export then you need to ask the Glyphs people, I am afraid. Also, keep in mind that opening a font file in a font editor is not guaranteed to reflect what is truly in the font.
