Probably it will not work. Sorry, this Glyphs 4 launch caught me a bit unprepared, and at a time when I have other commitments. I will get Kern On Glyphs-4-ready as soon as I can.

Update: The latest version of Kern On also supports Glyphs 4.

Hi,

Kern On seems to be working great in G4. One thing I’ve noticed is that when I start KO, the control switches straight to the pen tool and keeps jumping back to it from time to time even after selecting the Type tool. Also, the kern value input field seems to be somewhat broken – it does not react to arrows or scroll.

Also, why does it not put the f ligatures in kern group with f automatically?

I did some more G4 testing, KO definitely does not want to kern my f_f ligature unless I force it manually (goes to User-set autopairs). The ligature is set in the liga feature and works fine. I also get a warning triangle for my g.ss01 and it too is a part of a Stylistic Set feature.

Thanks for reporting the issue with the selected tool. Glyphs 4 is a bit different there, I will fix this.

Regarding the f ligatures, is this a problem that occurs only in Glyphs 4? Could you send me a file that demonstrates this?

Sorry, I can’t send the file. But I can tell you, the file was started in G3 and the 6 masters and the features were all set there – KO worked fine. Then that same file was moved to G4 and the f ligatures and anything else from the Features is not being kerned. That same g.ss01 was kerned normally in G3 and it did not display that warning triangle next to it as it does now in G4.
